Who Are We?

NCWELCOME was born in late 2006 when Court Newton and John Day were trying to crack the code on all things locals. At the time, they were involved in a social venture that was matching homeowners with local advertisers. With their marketing and technology backgrounds, they quickly discovered that with all of the different advertising vehicles today (TV, Print, Radio), there really wasn't a simple, foolproof way for people to stay connected in their community other than the local newspapers, of which remained status quo. As such, they started creating web tools that would keep people informed, entertained, and connected. Online video and social networks were two huge opportunities for innovation in the advertising space. Over the past two years, these have become the business focus, and in the process, NCWELCOME has established itself as true pioneer in the local search and video space for its state.

What We Do?

We connect people, communities, and brands. In doing so, we publish and produce quality content and programming for our audiences. Everyday we deliver thousands of impressions to users across our site. Our advertising approach delivers higher engagement for brands and more relevant ad experiences for consumers. We believe that advertising on the internet is about giving users control of how they consume their media and engage with brands. Marketing has become conversational therefore NCWELCOME has become the digital voice of local advertising.

Our Mission?

Quite simply, we will play a key role in defining the new media environment by creating a network of communities (counties) across our state. These communities will serve to inform, entertain, and enhance the quality of lives in there respective counties and provide a statewide resource for both residents and visitors to our state.
